Thank you, Mr. Scar, for clarifying in panel 2. If Lu had been hiding this from Ethan, that would’ve done real damage to their relationship in its current ‘gotta rebuild this’ state.

Indeed! There’s still a bit of “against his better judgment” feeling, but it’s all in good faith now. He only fears for Ethan’s safety, rather than ‘what if he finds out.’

Yes! Lu is Ethan’s guardian angel, and Ethan, in return, is Lu’s *healing* angel. Lu is re-learning how to love someone without holding back. ❤︎ It’s not exactly a symmetric relationship, but the beauty of it is that it does not need to be symmetric.

Oh yay, I’m so happy you commented on this one. I won’t lie, my hope at first was that we just didn’t know that Ethan would also be attracted to men, but after reading a little more closely and carefully, I see that the fact that it’s not symmetrical, as you put it, actually brings SO much more meaning and depth and genuine care to their relationship. From both sides, it’s so selfless.

If Lu did know it’d reflect poorly on the Hornets; what kind of covert organization would tell him things he clearly doesn’t need to know?
