Aw, dandelions growing right there. How conveniently placed! Then again, they’re everywhere, so you’d probably find one whenever and whereever you need one for all your emotional/ metaphorical posing needs.

PS1. Why didn’t anyone tell me I’d put “Feb 2, 2014” on the latest comic image on the front page? Sheesh!

PS2. This comic is officially in London now. Meaning updates will happen at the beginning of Mondays and Thursdays, at midnight UTC/GMT. So those of who’re in America like me, feel free to check for updates on Sunday and Wednesday nights! I’m not sure if I can keep it that way forever, but we’ll see.

I’ve posted two updates today, so make sure to read the previous one if you haven’t already.

So what do you guys think about the whole phenomenon of dandelion children? My brother found it weird — not the phenomenon itself, but the fact that the people of Keol actually understood the gist of how it worked, instead of just going “whoa! A redhead! This child must be CURSED/ BLESSED/ [insert some other superstitious adjective]!” Which is a valid opinion considering how superstitious and un-scientific ancient societies were.

I gave him a spoiler-y explanation that I can’t really post in public at this time. But I would be more than happy to engage in a discussion about it, in the most un-spoiler-y manner possible! Any thoughts?

I’m essentially posting today’s and Thursday’s updates (003-06 and 003-07) in one go because I don’t want to split this scene. It’s confusing enough as it is, and I feel it’s probably easier to understand if you read it all together. Yes, that does mean I won’t be posting anything this Thursday, so I’ll see you guys next week.

Go ahead and click the next button. :)

The bottom panel didn’t come out as awesome as I’d hoped. :( There’s another scenery panel coming up in this chapter that I hope will more than make up for it. I hope I won’t blow that one! No pun intended.

Also, the front page has been tweaked a little. Now the latest comic banner actually shows you a snippet from the latest comic, so you’ll instantly know whether there’s new content to check out when you visit the front page. And since the actual URL of the banner changes with every update, it won’t load from your cache. Hope that makes things more convenient for everyone!

The reddish brown food is squid muchim. Quite delicious, even if you’re not a fan of seafood in general! They’re savory, salty and spicy with a hint of sweetness. Loads of flavors… and cholesterol.

I finished inking and coloring this update in a day, BTW. I’m very happy about that! Huge thanks to everyone who came to watch the stream during which I did like 80% of the work, and to Hades who hosted the multistream. If you have a Picarto account, feel free to follow my channel.

Ethan’s never been a minority. The closest he’s experienced is being a white guy in Palisade Park, but it was only for a year or two, and white people are still not exactly a minority there.

The fact that unlike the Koreans in Palisade Park, the locals in this particular village had never even seen a white dude before is *not* helping.

Both panels are old art from the buffer. I still like the first panel even though I struggled BIG time with the speech bubble placement. Back when I drew it months ago, the dialogue was different, so it had a different flow to it. It’s amazing how much the bubble placement can affect the visual flow of a comic.

I’m going to be streaming some time this week, by the way! Follow me on Twitter or on Tapastic for further notifications on this~ :D
