Are the plants glowing or is that just part of the imagery from Ethan’s transformation. Regardless it is a wonderful end to the chapter. I still think it represents more than just teleportation, although I do have a tendency to read to much into it.

New look is totally rad. (and he got butterfly wings in his hair, too?) On the other hand, he is now even more conspicuous than Danbi.

Yeah, at least Danbi doesn’t glow in the dark… (not THAT brightly at least. His eyes may or may not do the glowing thing that normal Elyath eyes do when they use their power…)

I thought the wings, butterflies were part of the *internal* proces of Ethan. Subconcious/ metaphorical, if you will.
It’s Ethan’s own hand that touches the butterfly?
Is the manifestation -only- visible to Lu – Danbi maybe, becouse of *his* abilities….
Is it visible to everyone?

And, not to spoil the joy of a gorgeous page, and the joy of a meaningfull reunion:
*should* we be puzzled (worried even) about the ‘golden’ trickle from/ underneath his ear ??

The trickle is just magical butterfly hindwings! They have the pointy tips like swallowtail butterflies.

I realise most questions -and theories- in the comments go unanswered because *spoilers* but thank you for answering when you can.

I do feel rather heartless though. The words ‘goodby shadow’ just caught my eye, and now I’m seeing Ethans tears in an entirely different way :-(
